A snake not often offered for sale in the hobby, they are for the more experienced keeper and are defiantly not a pet snake.

An agile colubrid, that is quick and has a defensive attitude, in other words, it bites, and it's painful!! They are not easily tamed in captivity so should not be considered by those who want a snake they can handle.

A curious & intelligent snake they make a wonderful display animal, housed in a large vivarium with climbing branches, many an hour can be passed observing there antics as they investigate every inch of there enclosure. You might think that having two snakes in the vivarium would be twice as captivating, but think again as these are cannabalistic and will eat not only their own species but others too. In captivity adults will readily eat rodents whereas hatchlings & juveniles are more choosy as their natural prey at this age is lizards.

Hatchlings look nothing like adults, they are more brightly coloured and have a banded or spotted or a combination of both pattern. As they mature the pattern & colour changes progressively to that of the adult.
